Young Queens are a group of young Welsh Somali writers and performers age 11 - 14. Fiercely proud of both their Welsh and Somali heritage they have created four compelling poems about what it means to be a young Welsh Somali today. Under the guidance of Hibo Ahmed Hussein and Izzy Rabey, the writers developed concepts to turn their poems into films. The resulting four short films have been produced in association with Hayaat Women Trust and Sherman Theatre supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Director/Editor Jan 2021

MAS App is an innovative new app, designed to help people feel safer by having assurance that the places they visit are committed to equality and are safe to use, regardless of colour, gender, disabilities, or culture. MAS App is being developed in memory of 21 year old Mason Ah-Mun, who, on 11th March 2020, sadly passed away due to Sudden Arrythmia Syndrome (SADS). Mason’s own ambition was to develop an app and so his mother, Maxine, has channelled her grief into making his dream a reality. This is why MAS App will also feature a defibrillator locator.
